Men's Soccer: Baruch and John Jay Play to a Stalemate (0-0)

The men's soccer team faced off in a CUNYAC match against John Jay College on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island Field #70.

The Bearcats played their second conference match of the season with both teams entering the match with 1-0 records in CUNYAC.
 
This was a very hard-fought match with a lot of defensive plays on both sides. The Bearcats took a total of 14 shots with three shot on goals, including a near goal by Diego Sachun in the first half.

In the second half, Frank Shkreli almost scored a header off a corner kick just after the 55th minute mark.

One of the best chances of the sunny afternoon for the Bearcats was a penalty kick opportunity in the 62nd minute, but John Jay's GK saved it. 

Bearcat GK Jon Legasa finished with four saves in the well-earned draw

John Jay finished with five saves.

The next Bearcat match will be on Monday, October 7, at 7:00pm away to SUNY Purchase College in Purchase, N.Y.
