Bearcats Shutout Panthers in Home Win (25-9, 25-21, 25-15)

The women's volleyball team took on the Panthers from SUNY Old Westbury in a non-conference home match on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats opened the match with eight straight points on route to winning the first set 25-9. Dibjot Kaur had five kills helping secure the first set win.

In the second set, the match was tied at 20 before the Bearcats pulled away scoring five of the last six points to win the second set 25-21.

Bearcats went on to win the third set 25-15 sweeping the match 3-0.

Delaney Killeen led the team in kills with 10 while Dibjot Kaur finished with nine.

The Bearcats also played great defense tallying 31 digs with Isabella Doring leading with 10.

Karen Pozo Castro dished out 24 assists and six aces.

Stephanie Maser led the visiting Panthers with seven kills.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday when they will host a tri-match. They will start by playing the Pratt Institute at 10:00am, followed by the Pratt Institute playing New Jersey City University at 12:00 p.m., and then ending with the Bearcats playing New Jersey City University at 2:00 p.m.
