The women's tennis team won their second match of the season with a 4-3 home victory against Yeshiva University in a match played at the Queens College Indoor Courts in Flushing, New York.

The Bearcats won the very important team point in the best-of-three doubles and then three of the six singles for the Sunday afternoon win.

Ava Deguzman and Natalie Bergman (#1 doubles, 6-2) and Aishika Yadav and Maria Calvo (#2 doubles, 6-1) each won in doubles to earn the first team point.

Deguzman (#1, 6-0, 6-0), Bergman (#2, 6-2, 6-0) and Yadav (#3, 6-1, 6-2) then won in singles for a point each to clinch the 4-3 team win in the first season of the 7-point scoring system.

The Bearcats will next begin their CUNYAC schedule on Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. match at Lehman College in the Bronx.
