The women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Hawks of Hunter College in a CUNYAC match played on a breezy Monday afternoon at the Billie Jean King USTA National Tennis Center in Queens.
The visiting Bearcats battled throughout the afternoon, with standout Aishika Yadav earning the team's lone point after a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles — marking her 39th career singles win. The Hawks secured all three doubles and five of the six singles matches to take the regular-season victory.
Prior to the match, the Bearcats honored their final season players — Margaret Kensinger, Lucia Herranz Sanchez, and Justina Dodani — in a Bearcats Appreciation Day ceremony recognizing their dedication and contributions to the program.
Baruch will conclude its regular-season fall schedule on Saturday with a road match at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
