The men's soccer team defeated rival Hunter College 1-0 in a CUNYAC showdown on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island Field 83.
The victory marked the Bearcats' fourth straight shutout win, as the team has now gone 401 consecutive minutes without conceding a goal, dating back to October 8.
Both sides produced 17 shots in a tightly contested match, but Rayan Vukovic's goal in the 26th minute (25:48) off an assist from Anthony Prado proved to be the difference.
Rookie goalkeeper Dzmitry Piatrashka tied his career high with nine saves, earning his fourth consecutive clean sheet (shutout).
Vukovic led the Bearcats with four shots, while Samuel Jacobs added three. Giorgios Tsiakas paced Hunter with five shots in the home loss.
With the victory, Baruch clinches second place in the CUNYAC standings and a bye to the conference semifinal, scheduled for Saturday, November 1, at 3:30 p.m., at Flowers Park in New Rochelle, New York. (full details to be announced soon).
