Bearcats Drop Regular Season Finale to Ramapo

The women's volleyball team took a road trip up to Mahwah, New Jersey to compete in their final regular season match against Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats lost in three sets (16-25, 21-25, 17-25).

In the second set, the squad trailed by as much as six (11-17) until the deficit was cut to just two points (20-22) after a kill by Dibjot Kaur set up by Karen Pozo Castro. The Road Runners finished winning the set 25-21 in a close contest.

The team was down by as little as one early in the third set, but Ramapo took control and won the set by eight points.

Pei Qiong Ren and Kaur both put on a defensive performance with 14 digs each. Ava Tartour had 12 digs. Castro registered 29 assists on the afternoon.

The Bearcats' next match will be a big one as they play against the winner of Tuesday's CUNYAC quarterfinal match (Brooklyn or Lehman) at home in the CUNYAC Semifinals, on Thursday November 13, at 6:00 p.m.
