Men's Basketball Win CUNYAC Regular Season Title on Bearcats Appreciation Night

The men's basketball team won the CUNYAC Regular Season Title (first place) after defeating Lehman College 74-55 on Bearcats Appreciation Night in the ARC Arena. 

The Bearcats jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead and never looked back en route to earning the number 1 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championship Tournament. 

They will host a semi-final next Tuesday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m. against an opponent to be determined. 

Defense came up big tonight allowing the Lightning only 20 field goals and out-rebounding them 43-30.

The squad had four players in double-figure scoring led by senior Gerard Nicholson and rookie Nicholas Lam with 16 points each. 

Dylan Minnick had 15 points and Trevon Coppin had 14 for the Bearcats who finished the regular season with a 12-2 record in the conference.

The visiting Lightning were led in the scoring column by Kai Parris with 13 points.

Before the game, the team honored final-year players Brandon Goldberg, Gerard Nicholson, Dylan Minnick, and Jackenson Edme on Bearcats Appreciation Night.
