Mount Saint Mary's Downs Bearcats (5-2)

The baseball team lost a 5-2 contest on Thursday afternoon to the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh New York.

The Bearcats bats came alive late in the game but it was too late to avoid the loss. 

The Knights started by scoring four runs in the second inning on three hits. They added their fifth run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly RBI for the 5-0 lead. 

The visiting Bearcats did not go away quietly and came back with two runs in the eighth inning. Joseph Cocozza and Zachary Niedzwiecki each smacked an RBI double to cut the score to 5-2 but could not get any closer in the tough non-conference loss.
