Women's Tennis Lose Close Match to Lebanon Valley (4-3)

The women's tennis team lost a narrow non-conference match to Lebanon Valley, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon in Annville, Pennyslvania.

The Bearcats started with Ava Deguzman and Natalie Bergmann winning at first doubles and Aishika Yadav and Maria Calvo winning at second doubles to lead 1-0.

Lebanon Valley rallied in the singles winning four of six to record the 4-3 victory in the first-ever tennis contest between these two teams.

Deguzman easily won at first singles, 6-2, 6-0, to continue to record her ongoing school record 59th singles victory. She is also 15-0 this season in singles.

Yadav also won at third doubles 6-2, 6-1, to also stayed undefeated in singles this season at 15-0.

The Bearcats will play again tomorrow with a 3:00 p.m. match against Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

FORMAT: The first team to collect four or more points wins the dual match. Doubles play will start with the team winning two of the three matches taking a single point. All six singles matches will each be a single point, with a maximum score of seven.
