Softball Wins DH at York, Jimenez & Lavery, Castro-Johnson Pitch No-Hitters

On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, the softball team traveled to the Padavan-Preller Fields in Bellerose, N.Y. to play their first CUNYAC doubleheader of the season against the Cardinals of York College.

The Bearcats won 30-0 and 26-0 in a pair of five-inning contests.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
Megan Bell: 4-for-4, 4 runs, 6 RBIs, 2 triples, 2 walks
Leilani Jimenez: 2-for-2, 4 runs, 1 RBI, 2 walks, 3 stolen bases
Jules Wychunas: 4-for-5, 5 RBI, 2 doubles, 2 runs
Melanie Robles: 4-for-4, 4 runs, 6 RBI, 1 double
Pitching: Leilani Jimenez (3 IP, 6 K, 0 H), Ava Lavery (2 IP, 1 K, 0 H) combined for a no-hitter.
