Joshua Gener - Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Joshua Gener

Joshua Gener is entering his second season as assistant coach of the men’s basketball program.
 
Joshua is making his return to the Bearcat family after previously playing two seasons for the basketball team (2013-14 and 2014-15). He was a member of the 2014-15 team that won the CUNYAC Championship and played in the NCAA Tournament.

During the 2014-15 season, he was voted the Burt Beagle CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award Winner.
 
Before attending Baruch, Joshua went to New Mexico Military Institute and was part of their N.J.C.A.A. Division 1 Men’s Basketball Team.
 
Upon graduating from Baruch, Joshua has served as an assistant varsity coach at All Hallows High School for Boys in the Bronx. Prior to that, he was the head basketball coach at Democracy Prep Public School. In his first season, he led the team to an 8-4 record, while implementing plans to lead the students in the right direction.
 
In 2019, Joshua became an affiliate with the New York Gauchos, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team in New York City, where he has supported the program in recruiting and assistant coaching.

He has also worked for Shannon Bobbit's camp for girls, Kevin Johnson's All-American Clinic, and the C.H.S.A.A. Senior Showcase.
 
Joshua graduated from Baruch in 2015 with a Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
