Cristy Encarnacion will begin her second season with the men's volleyball team and just finished her first season (Fall 2019) with the the women's team.

Encarnacion assists Head Coach Kevin Edwards in all areas of the Bearcats' Division III volleyball program.

During the men 's spring 2019 season, she helped coach the team to the CUNYAC Championship and berth to the NCAA.

She recently helped coach the women's team to their first-ever postseason victory in team history, as they defeated Rutgers-Newark to advance to the 2019 ECAC Postseason Championship Quarterfinals.

Encarnacion has experience as an assistant volleyball coach with Alcorn State during 2000-01. That season, the Braves finished second in the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC).

She was named MVP and the Volleyball Athlete of the Year by the St. Croix Country Day School in 1998. She was also offered volleyball scholarships to Queens College and Lewis and Clark State College, and competed in the United States Virgin Island Volleyball National League.

Currently, she is also an assistant coach with the Blazerz Juniors Volleyball Club.

Encarnacion earned an Associates in Biology from Alcorn State in 2002.

Off the court, she is employed in the Health Care Industry with St. Barnabas.
