Erwin is in his second season as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball program, and first with the women's basketball and men's volleyball programs.
He played varsity volleyball as a setter for four years at Bishop Mora Salesian High School in Los Angeles, California.
The team won consecutive Santa Fe League Championships, the CIF Division 5 Championship, and was a California State Div. 3 Semifinalist in 2009.

He was also a member of the Club Wood volleyball program in Los Angeles during 2007-2010.
Erwin graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management in 2015. He is currently at St John's pursuing a Masters in Sports Management.
