Nicholas Godino has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for March 2019.
This is the first monthly honor for the senior from Plainview, New York.
During March, Godino led the Bearcats to nine wins out of 11 matches, which included a pair of Tri-Match sweeps and an exciting five-set come back to defeat St. Joseph's of Long Island.
HIGHLIGHTS
*During the month of March, he averaged 3.50 kills per set, 2.23 digs per set, with 16 blocks.
*Recorded 13 kills (.450) and five digs to help defeat Medgar Evers, who entered the match with a 10-0 record (March 10).
*Notched 11 kills against Elms College (March 14).
*At the Alvernia Tri-Match, he tallied 13 kills against Alvernia and 14 kills with 11 digs against Mount Union to pick up two wins (March 16).
*In the best team win of the month, he recorded a month-high 17 kills, 18 digs and four blocks to rally for a five-set comeback against St. Joseph's of Long Island (March 21).
*Against rival Hunter, he had 11 kills in a tough four-set loss (March 26).
*Recorded 16 kills in a home sweep against Misericordia (March 30).
