Popular senior and softball catcher/pitcher Rose Tejada was voted the Athlete of the Month for March.

Tejada, a Marketing major, had a solid month leading the Bearcats to seven wins, including CUNYAC Player of the Week honors on Monday, March 27.

Rose started her season with a solid performance in a doubleheader sweep against St. Elizabeth of New Jersey. She totaled three runs scored and one RBI at the plate, while pitching a complete-game victory by recording seven innings and allowing only one earned run.

She notched three RBI’s and two runs on four total hits in a conference victory over City Tech on March 18.

She finished the month tied for the team lead with six RBI’s and posted an impressive .424 batting percentage.
