Yee Chung Phang was named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for December 2017.
 
This is the first monthly honor for the junior from Bayside, New York.

During December, Phang led the Bearcats to a respectable 11th place finish at the ECAC Winter Championships against a group of mostly scholarship teams.

HIGHLIGHTS

*Voted the CUNYAC Women's Swimmer of the Week on December 4.

*Broke the school record in the 400 IM at the ECAC Winter Championships on Long Island (Dec 1-3).

*Won the quick 50 freestyle (30.85) and 100 backstroke (1:15.78) events against John Jay (Dec 6).
