Mariam recorded a big month in posting an undefeated 6-0 record in singles and 6-1 mark in doubles to lead the women's tennis team to a 5-2 record during September.

She showed her outstanding talents by winning both of her singles and doubles matches in the much-anticipated Hunter showdown on September 23.

Mariam also defeated her opponents in # 2 singles and #2 doubles in a 5-3 road victory at Drew on September 12, which is considered one of the best non-conference wins in team history.

She won her singles and doubles encounters to help Baruch defeat Farmingdale State, 5-3, in a tough non-conference road win on September 20.

For her solid efforts, Marian Mkrtchyan was named the September 2008 Baruch Athlete of the Month.
