Senior women’s volleyball player Christina Pierre has been voted the Baruch Athlete of the Month for September 2010.

Pierre had a very productive September that featured her being named CUNYAC Player of the Week three times.

During September, she totaled 169 kills and 24 blocks with a solid .405 hitting percentage.

A list of highlights is below…

*Notched 17 kills with a .387 hitting percentage in a road win at McDaniel (9/3).

*Picked up 16 kills with a .433 hitting percentage against Randolph College (9/4).

*Totaled her month-high of 17 kills versus rival Hunter (9/11).

*Tallied 12 kills in an important home win over CCNY (9/14).

*Notched 11 kills on 14 attempts with four total block versus Buffalo State (9/17).

*Named to the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic All-Tournament Team (9/18).
