Women’s volleyball player Jessica Wu has been voted the Baruch Athlete of the Month for September 2011.

During the month, Wu was twice named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week and once as Player of the Week.

The monthly recognition award is voted on by the athletic department staff.

For a complete list of Wu’s highlights, please read below.

** Recorded 13 kills and eight digs in a win over Division II St. Michael’s at the North Country Classic (9/2).

** Followed that match with 10 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 win over St. Lawrence (9/3).

** Tallied 19 kills and 18 digs versus Western Connecticut State (9/7).

** Notched 11 kills and four service aces in a 3-0 home sweep over SUNY-Old Westbury (9/15).

** Notched career-high 10 service aces and added 10 kills in a home rout over Staten Island (9/20).

** For the month of September, Jessica totaled 122 kills, 38 service aces and 92 digs.

** Named to the All-Tournament Team of the North Country Classic jointly hosted by St. Lawrence and Clarkson Universities.
