Final Team Stats

The women’s volleyball team took a lead in each set, but was unable to rally for the victory in the semifinals of the 2008 CUNYAC Women’s Volleyball Championships on Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

 

The visiting Bearcats lost by the scores of 25-21, 28-26, 25-22 to finish their overall fall schedule with a 17-20 record. 

Nicole Baruffaldi, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, led the Baruch attack with 12 kills and digs each, while Kristin Walker gave Baruch every chance to win by dishing out 24 assists. Mayra Estepan had three service aces.

 

Hunter, which went on to win the championship this evening by defeating the City College of New York in four, were paced by Amanda Kamm with a match-high 13 kills and 15 assists in a solid all-around effort.

 

Melissa Hernandez led the Hawks with 21 assists.
