The men’s soccer team lost a 3-0 non-conference match to Medaille College on Saturday night in Buffalo, New York.

Medaille scored just 4:23 into the contest, and added a second only a few minutes before the halftime whistle for a two goal lead at the intermission.

They added their third and final goal with just over five minutes remaining to clinch a successful home opener at All High Stadium in Buffalo.

The Bearcats played 21 players on the roster and were limited to seven shots, compared to 20 by the home team.

Nelson DiBastiano (Rego Park, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) recorded seven saves, while Daniel Ospina (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis) led with two shots.

The men’s soccer team will return to action this Wednesday with a conference home match against Hunter College. Kick off at the Met Oval is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
