The men’s soccer team earned their first road victory of the season with a 3-0 shutout against the New York City College of Technology on Saturday afternoon at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.

The Bearcats jumped on the scoreboard first with a goal by freshman Dominick Cinquemani (Queens, N.Y./Christ the King) in the fourth minute.

Junior Valiantsin Kirykovich (Pinsk, Belarus/No. 15) started the scoring with an over the top pass through the defense that found Cinquemani for a one-on-one opportunity to score the opening goal.

Senior Daniel Wright (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) scored the second goal in the 27th minute of play.

Senior Marcelo Martinez (Inwood, N.Y./Lawrence) delivered a throw-in and Wright brought it quickly under control to fire home the goal for a 2-0 first-half advantage.

The visiting Bearcats wrapped up the victory with the third goal only nine minutes from the final whistle.

Senior Camilo Reyes (Bogota, Colombia/Woodlands) scored his first of the season on an assist inside the box by Kirykovich for the final 3-0 scoreline.

Baruch totaled 12 shots this afternoon and junior goalkeeper Nelson DiBastiano (Rego Park, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) recorded the shutout with four saves.

The Bearcats will return to action this Monday night with a non-conference road match at the State University of New York at Maritime. Please note the revised kick off time is now scheduled for 7:30 pm.
