Shadae Rice scored a career-high 21 points to help the Bearcats surpass the 100-point mark in defeating the Hawks of Hunter College, 102-57, in a conference game on Friday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Overall, the Bearcats (15-5, 9-0 CUNYAC) had six total players in double-figures and shot 57 percent in recording their highest point total of the season.

Kalea Davis recorded her 10th consecutive double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) to jump into a fourth place tie on the Division III streak list.

Monique Salmon (14 points, nine assists), Christina Kelly (13 points, six rebounds), Lorin Clarke (12 points, seven rebounds) and Karlee Whipple (12 points) rounded out the top scorers to give the Bearcats the comfortable victory. Awa Diop also contributed eight points and rebounds each.

Angelika Wronowska led Hunter (4-14, 2-7 CUNYAC) with 29 points, including seven 3-pointers in the second half to finish the evening with nine total treys.

The women’s basketball team will continue their conference schedule on Wednesday, February 4, with a 5:30 pm home game in “The Battle of Lexington” against the City College of New York.
