The baseball team ended a five-game losing streak by defeating the City College of New York, 10-1, in a non-conference single road game on Friday afternoon on the field of Bronx Community College.

David Chestnut recorded his fourth win of the season by pitching a complete game with one earned run and 10 strikeouts.

The Bearcats erupted for 10 runs, including five in the eighth inning, as part of an 11-hit attack to earn win #16 on the regular season.

Joseph Valentin led the offense again with two hits, while Marcos Mejia slammed his third home run of the season in the seventh inning.

Today’s game was previously scheduled to be played during the weekend of April 4-5, but was postponed by inclement weather.
