The women's volleyball team swept SUNY-Old Westbury by the scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-22 in a non-conference match Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

With the victory the Bearcats raise their overall record to 7-3, while the Panthers from Old Westbury fall to 2-9 on the season.

Christina Pierre led the team this evening with nine kills, while Melinda Santiago, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, dished out 22 assists to help stretch the team's win streak to three matches.

Carissa Hoover recorded six kills and six aces to go along with five digs. Adianna Clark notched four aces in the competitive third set.

Ashley Greene led the visitors from the Skyline Conference with six kills and three blocks.

The women's volleyball team will return to action next Tuesday, September 22, with a 6:00 pm home CUNYAC match against the College of Staten Island.
