The women’s volleyball team swept the Bridges of Brooklyn College in three sets (25-9, 25-14, 25-22) in a CUNY Athletic Conference match played Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

With the victory, the Bearcats raise their record to 11-4 overall and 4-1 in CUNYAC, while Brooklyn falls to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in CUNYAC.

Martina Micko led the attack with nine kills (.533), while Christina Pierre had a solid evening with eight kills. 

Melinda Santiago, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, led the overall offensive effort with 24 assists.

Posey Wilson, the CUNYAC Player of the Week, finished with six digs in a match where every player saw action this evening.

Daphne Brunet led Brooklyn College with six kills and five digs.

The women’s volleyball team will return to action on Thursday, October 1, with a 7:00 pm non-conference road match at Rutgers-Newark in Newark, New Jersey.
