Bearcats Lose High-Scoring Game to Ramapo, 16-11

The baseball team lost 16-11 to the Roadrunners of Ramapo College in a non-conference game on Friday afternoon in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Ramapo (12-11) totaled 16 runs on 14 total hits and quickly jumped out to a 14-3 lead after three innings of action. 

The Bearcats (9-14), who totaled 11 runs on 15 hits, attempted a late rally with four runs in their final two at-bats but fell short in the loss to the team from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).

Thomas Daly had a major game at the plate by batting 4-for-5, with three runs scored. Manuel Guerrero finished batting 3-for-5, with two RBI. Peter Dinolfo and David Chestnut recorded two hits each.

The baseball team will return to action on Saturday, April 17, with a CUNYAC home doubleheader at MCU Park (formerly Key Span) against Lehman College. First pitch is scheduled 12:00 pm.
