The women’s volleyball team swept the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island in three sets in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday night in Staten Island.

The visiting Bearcats (9-4, 3-1 CUNYAC) rolled over Staten Island (0-6, 0-4 CUNYAC) by the scores of 25-2, 25-5 and 25-9.

Christina Pierre, who was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week for the third straight time, led the way to victory with eight kills.

Maria Turner notched four kills, while Voon Choo added 13 assists and six digs.

The women’s volleyball team will return to action on Saturday, September 25 by hosting a quad day of matches against Richard Stockton (11:00 am), Ramapo (1:00 pm) and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (3:00 pm).
