Molten Final 4 Teams Confirmed: #1 Nazareth, #3 Springfield, #5 Carthage, #6 Baruch

The four teams for the 2011 Men's Invitational Volleyball Championship (nicknamed "Molten Final Four") have been confirmed for the final weekend of the Division III men’s volleyball season scheduled to take place on April 15-16 in Rochester, New York.

The field of four was finalized last night following #3-ranked Springfield College’s 3-1 victory over #2-ranked NYU that helped decide the Division III team representative from the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (E.I.V.A.).

As a result, the following four teams below, which are all currently ranked nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (A.V.C.A.), will compete for the 2011 National Championship that will be hosted by Nazareth College.

#1-ranked Nazareth: Automatically qualify as host of the Final Four.
#3-ranked Springfield: E.I.V.A. Representative
#5-ranked Carthage: Wild Card Team from Midwest/West Region
#6-ranked Baruch: North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Representative

The match ups for the Final Four will be announced by the A.V.C.A. on Monday, April 11.

The Baruch Bearcats will be making their first-ever appearance in the Molten Final Four. There will be live stats and live video of all the matches to be played on April 15-16. For more information, please click link below.
