BOX SCORE vs Hunter

The women’s volleyball team split their two matches on Saturday at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by the athletic department in the main and auxiliary gyms.

The CUNYAC Multi-Match features all nine conference schools getting together to play at least two matches in one location and day. The second multi-match of the regular season will take place on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, at the College of Staten Island.

In Baruch’s (4-4) first match of the day, they swept the Cardinals of York College with scores of 25-7, 25-18, 25-5.

Jacqueline Dugas led the attack with seven kills (.308), while Michelle Stommes, Jessica Wu and Rebecca Peralta each finished with four kills. Melinda Santiago dished out 22 assists.

In the second match, the Bearcats lost to rival Hunter in three with scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-16 to fall to 1-1 in CUNYAC and 4-4 overall on the season.

Jessica Wu led the team in the tough loss with 10 kills and Posey Wilson totaled 15 digs.

The Bearcats will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Tuesday, September 13, with a 7:00 pm match at CCNY.
