Box Score

The women's basketball team started the season with a 64-58 victory on Friday night over Delaware Valley College in a first round game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament hosted by Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania.

The Bearcats will play the hosts Lebanon Valley tomorrow at 3:00 pm in the championship game.

The game will feature an exciting rematch as the two teams played each other in last year's NCAA first round that Lebanon Valley won, 59-53. The Bearcats led during the second half of that contest, but Lebanon Valley rallied in the final minutes to squeeze out the victory on their home court.

The Bearcats committed to this tournament prior to the NCAA seeding last year.

The Bearcats had three players recording double-doubles, led by
Sheridan Taylor with 21 points on a torrid 9-of-10 shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds.

Alicea Ulmer totaled 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Francess Henry, the Preseason CUNYAC Player of the Year, finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The defense limited Delaware Valley, a member of the
Freedom Conference, to only 25 percent shooting and dominated the battled of the boards with a 60-35 advantage to start the season 1-0.
