The baseball team lost 9-1 to Eastern Connecticut State University in a non-conference game played on Sunday afternoon at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, New York.

The Bearcats opened the scoring in the first inning with Angel Tejeda smacking an RBI single to score Richard Valerio.

Eastern Connecticut State took control the rest of the game by totaling nine runs on 12 hits for the 9-1 victory.

Matthew Ballone finished batting 2-for-3 with two singles. Jasdeep Buttar, Richard Valerio and Eric Ulino each had a single.

The baseball team will return to action on Sunday, March 10, with a non-conference doubleheader against Bard College.

First pitch at Dutchess Minor League Stadium in Wappinger Falls, New York is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
