The men's soccer team suffered a 6-1 non-conference road defeat to the Gothic Knights from New Jersey City University on Wednesday afternoon in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The Gothic Knights from the New Jersey Athletic Conference out-shot the visiting Bearcats by a 33-8 margin and took a 3-0 lead into the halftime whistle en route to the home win.

Armando Aguilar scored the only goal for the Bearcats in the 48th minute off an assist from Victor Tlepshev.

Tlepshev attempted three of the team's eight total shots on a warm and humid afternoon.

The men's soccer team will return to action on Monday, September 16 with a 5:00 pm non-conference home contest at the Met Oval against SUNY-Old Westbury.
