The women's volleyball team lost in three to the Violets of New York University on Thursday evening in the Greenwich Village section of New York City.

The visiting Bearcats lost with scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-17 to drop to 2-6 overall, while the Violets improve to 8-1.

The home team Violets from the University Athletic Association finished hitting .364 with 49 total kills. The Bearcats hit .221 with 23 kills.

Sydney Parks led the attack this evening with nine kills hitting .471. McKenzie Davidson and Rebecca Peralta tallied six kills each. Davidson also led the team with 11 digs.

Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 19 assists and Amy Sung finished with nine digs.

The women's volleyball team will begin their CUNYAC schedule on Saturday, September 14, at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by York College. The team will play Brooklyn College at 9:00 am, followed by York at 11:00 am.
