Box Score

The men's soccer team and the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College played to a scoreless draw on a rainy Saturday afternoon at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.

With the result, the Bearcats' record stands at 7-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 (10pts) in the CUNYAC standings. The Bulldogs are 4-8-1 overall and 2-2-1 (7pts) in the standings.

The two teams combined for 31 shots, but each was only able to create a few quality scoring opportunities in a match dominated by defense and numerous 50/50 ball challenges.

Edward Humphreys had the best chance for the Bearcats in the first half, but his shot hit off the post.

The Bulldogs had their best opportunity to score with a minute left in the second overtime, but senior goalkeeper
Peter DiBona saved the team with an outstanding one-on-one stop of Fernard Grisales.

Kevin Romero led the Bearcats with five shots. DiBona earned his first career shutout with six saves.

The men's soccer team will return to action on Wednesday, October 15, with a 6:00 pm match at Berkeley College on field #10 of Randall's Island.
