The women's volleyball team swept the Pioneers of William Paterson University in a non-conference match played on Saturday afternoon in Wayne, New Jersey.

The visiting Bearcats won 25-21, 25-20, 25-17 to hand the Pioneers from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) their fourth defeat of the season.

Six players had at least six kills and three players had nine or more digs in a solid team effort for the victory.

Symone Green (1 block solo) and McKenzie Davidson (.364, 9 digs) each had nine kills, while Michelle Stommes had seven kills and two blocks. Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 31 assists.

The team also received major contributions from Marisa Bou with six aces and Alessandra Chavez with three  aces.

Shauna VanDeRee led the home team with 12 kills, six digs and two blocks.

The women's volleyball team will return to action on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13, as they will play Staten Island (10am) and rival Hunter (12pm) at the CUNYAC Multi-Match in Staten Island, New York.
