Women's Volleyball Falls to NYU in Front of Large Home Crowd

The women's volleyball team lost in four sets to the Violets of New York University in front of a boisterous crowd on Thursday evening in the ARC Arena.

The visiting Violets won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-15, but the Bearcats battled back in the third with a pair of kills by
Michelle Stommes to break a tie at 25 for a 27-25 victory.

The Violets won the fourth set, 25-18, as Josie Luck (16 kills, 17 digs) and Katie Robinson (13 kills, 10 digs) powered the Violets to the road victory.

Stommes (10 digs) and
McKenzie Davidson (12 digs, 3 aces) led the Bearcats' attack this evening with nine kills each.  Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 25 assists and Marisa Bou had three aces.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, October 11, with a 12:00 pm match at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
