Men's Volleyball Clinches CUNYAC Regular Season Title With Wins Over Lehman & Hunter

The No. 13-ranked men's volleyball team won the CUNYAC Regular Season Title (First Place) after winning their two conference matches on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats are now 23-9 overall and 12-0 in the CUNYAC standings with one conference match remaining.
 
The team started the CUNYAC Multi-Match Day by sweeping the Lightning of Lehman College with scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-9.  

They hit for a .542 hitting percentage with 36 total kills compared to 15 by the Lightning hitting a negative .038.


Steven Coniglio (.900) and Jack McKee (.533) recorded nine kills each, while Brady Ambro totaled eight kills.

In the second match against rival Hunter College, the Bearcats won in four hard-fought sets (25-19, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17) after hitting a solid .365 with 62 total kills.

Chris Kaimis had a career-high 18 kills (.654) and 12 digs for his seventh double-double of the season.

Ambro also came up big with a double-double of his own for a career-high 17 kills and 10 digs.


Scott Standring dished out 51 assists and collected six digs in the team's 23rd win of the season.
