Men's Soccer Scores Late to Stun Lehman in Exciting Comeback (3-2)

The men's soccer team defeated the Lightning of Lehman College, 3-2, in an exciting comeback on Wednesday afternoon in the Bronx, New York.

The victory raises the Bearcats record to 5-4 overall and 1-1 (3pts) in the CUNYAC, while Lehman drops to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in conference.

The visiting Bearcats scored first and early in the third minute on a header by
Edward Humphreys off a crossing assist from Myles Bent.

The Lightning came back strong in that first half scoring goals in the 19th and 43rd minutes to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.

The Bearcats regrouped and started a comeback with
Kevin Romero scoring on a free kick in the 70th minute. William Rosales broke open the 2-2 tie with three minutes left in regulation with a rocket from 15 yards for the eventual 3-2 final score.

The Bearcats finished out-shooting the Lightning 32-6 to walk off with the road victory.

Men's soccer will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Saturday with a road match against the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 pm at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, New York.
