The men's soccer team suffered their second consecutive overtime loss on a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.

The CUNYAC season-opening 3-2 loss to the College of Staten Island Dolphins drops to the Bearcats to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Dolphins are 2-5 overall and 1-0 in conference.

The Dolphins managed to score first in the 21st minute on a through ball to Tarek Eman, who beat the charging goalkeeper one-on-one to open the scoring.

The Bearcats wasted no time by tying the match two minutes later with

The Bearcats increased the lead to 2-1 with two minutes left before the halftime whistle as
Edward Humphreys scored on a cross into the box vis double assists from Mohammad Hamdani and Bent.

The visitors tied the match in the second half to send the match to overtime. They scored again two minutes into the overtime with Marcin Kim scoring his second goal of the match on a header to send everybody home with the 3-2 result.

The men's soccer team will return to action with another CUNYAC home match on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:00pm, versus Lehman College at Randall's Island Field #10.
