The men's volleyball team lost their two matches on Saturday at the Kean Invitational in Union, New Jersey.

The No. 11 ranked Bearcats began with a three set loss (11-25, 23-25, 19-25) to No. 3 ranked Nazareth College in the morning contest.

Nazareth hit a torrid .386 with 37 kills, compared to .160/30 kills by the Bearcats.

Stephen Roach led in the match with 10 kills and Brady Ambro had nine kills in the tough loss between a pair of Top 15 teams.

Chris Mahan led a balanced attack for Nazareth with nine kills, hitting .583.

In the afternoon match, they suffered another tough loss in three to the Wentworth Institute of Technology with scores of 14-25, 20-25, 27-29.

Rookie Nicholas Godino led the Bearcat attack with nine kills and Scott Standring dished out 17 assists. Sean Mullen led Wentworth from Boston with 12 kills and three blocks.

Taylor Higgs was named to the All-Tournament Team of the Kean Invitational.

The Bearcats will next host their home opener on Thursday, February 4, with a 7 p.m. contest against the No. 8 ranked Violets of New York University in the Inaugural Spikefest (free food!).
