Men's Volleyball Defeats Ramapo in Five-Set Thriller

The men's volleyball team outlasted the Road Runners of Ramapo College in five sets in an exciting non-conference contest on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

Stephen Roach had a career night for the Bearcats with 18 kills, while Samuel Rabidoux had 11 and Nathaniel Chin 10 to squeeze out the win.

CUNYAC Preseason MVP Scott Standring tallied 42 assists, nine digs, five aces, and four blocks.

The two teams were tied at 10 in the fifth set, but a kill by Roach and back-to-back attack errors by the Road Runners helped the Bearcats jump out to a 13-10 lead.

The visitors scored the next point but kills by Rabidoux and Roach sealed the fifth set win for the overall 3-2 victory to stretch their win streak to four in a row.

Justin Feigeles led the Road Runners with 14 kills.

The men's volleyball team will return to action on Monday, February 12 (President's Day) with the CUNYAC Multi-Match at John Jay College. The Bearcats will start play at 9 a.m. against rival Hunter College.
