Men's Volleyball Sweeps Lehman, Team Now 6-1 in CUNYAC

The men's volleyball team won for the seventh time in their last eight matches with a 25-15, 25-23, 25-22 sweep of the Lightning of Lehman College on Thursday night in the Bronx.

Brady Ambro (11 digs) led the attack with 13 kills (.417) and Braden Carter had seven (.417) in the road win.

Scott Standring dished out 34 assists and Taylor Higgs notched seven digs to help the team stay second in the CUNYAC standings.

The Bearcats totaled 41 kills hitting .329, while the Lightning had 22 kills hitting .213.

Orlando Vargas was tops for Lehman with eight kills and nine digs.

The Bearcats will return home Saturday for two matches against Top 10 opposition featuring No. 6-ranked the Stevens Institute of Technology at 11 a.m., followed by No. 3 Carthage of Wisconsin at 3 p.m.
