The No. 12 ranked Cougars of Kean University defeated the Bearcats (25-21, 25-16, 25-15) on Friday night in Union, New Jersey.

The Cougars hit .487 in the second set for the home sweep.

Brady Ambro led the visiting Bearcats' attack with 11 kills, while Stephen Roach added seven and Braden Carter four.

On the back end, Taylor Higgs tallied nine digs.

The match against the Cougars marked the eighth time that the Bearcats played against a nationally-ranked opponent this season.

Tommy Rosario led the hosts with 10 kills and six blocks.
