Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Men's Volleyball Defeats CCNY, Lehman in CUNYAC Multi-Match

The men's volleyball team defeated CCNY and Lehman on Saturday morning at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by Hunter College.

The Bearcats started with a 25-12, 25-9, 25-10 sweep of CCNY. They hit a season-high .509 for 35 kills, while the Beavers hit a negative .145 with eight kills.

Brady Ambro (.471) was tops again with 10 kills and Stephen Roach added seven. Scott Standring dished out 24 assists and Brian Coniglio had eight digs in the win.

In the second match against Lehman, the Bearcats rolled out a 25-17, 25-14, 25-14 win by hitting .391.

Rookie Thomas Leslein had a career-high 19 kills and fellow rookie Nicholas Godino had eight. Coniglio was busy with a season-high 38 assists to help the team improve to 8-1 in the CUNYAC standings.

The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, March 9, with a 7 p.m. match at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
