Women's Volleyball Announces Schedule, Bearcats Host Seven Home Matches

The schedule for the women's volleyball fall season is available online.

The Bearcats will play seven home matches this upcoming fall semester, which begins with a September 8 matchup against the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

St. Mary's College of Maryland (Sept. 24), New York University (Sept. 24), Montclair State (Oct. 6), John Jay College of Criminal Justice (Oct. 10), Lehman College (Oct. 10), and CCNY (Oct. 20, Senior Night) round out the exciting home matches in the ARC Arena.

The team will travel on weekends to Pennsylvania for the DeSales Invitational (Sept. 2-3) in Center Valley and the Neumann Invitational (Sept. 16-17) in Philadelphia. The Bearcats will also compete at the Kean Invitational (Oct. 7-8) in New Jersey, and during late October travel upstate for Oneonta State's Dig Pink Invitational (Oct. 28-29).

The team led by third year Head Coach Carrie Thomas will also travel to compete in a tri-match at Haverford College with the hosts Haverford and McDaniel College on October 22.

The highly anticipated CUNYAC road match at rival Hunter College will take place on Thursday, September 22, at the Hunter Sportsplex.

"I am excited about our schedule for the upcoming season," said Thomas. "We can't wait to get started and look forward to competing again for a CUNYAC Championship."

The Bearcats finished the 2015 season with an 18-19 overall record, which included winning the CUNYAC Regular Season Title (8-0) and finishing runner up in the postseason CUNYAC Tournament. The team has finished in the top two during the past seven years in conference play.
