Men's Volleyball Goes 1-2 at St. John Fisher Invitational

The men's volleyball team recorded one win and two losses at the St. John Fisher (SJF)  Invitational this weekend in upstate Rochester, New York.

The Bearcats started play Friday night with a straight set win (15, 22, 21) against Hiram College of Ohio. Nicholas Godino recorded 14 kills and Stephen Roach 12 assists to notch the team's 11th win of the season.   

They lost their two contests today, the first in straight sets to the hosts SJF (23, 19, 18) in the morning match and to Elmira College (17-25, 19-25, 26-24, 22-25) in the afternoon. 

Aaron Kim had one of his top matches of the season with 41 assists and seven digs against the Elmira Soaring Eagles. The Bearcats defeated the Soaring Eagles in the season home opener in January with an exciting five-set comeback, but this afternoon lost in four.

Roach had another all-around effort with 10 kills, nine assists and seven digs against SJF in the morning.

The Bearcats will undergo a brief break in their schedule and rest up to prepare for the Tuesday, March 27, CUNYAC home showdown against rival Hunter College at 6 p.m.
