Men's Volleyball Competes at Vassar Tri-Match, Team Next Hosts CUNYAC Finals on Friday

The men's volleyball team finished their regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon in a tri-match hosted by Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The visiting Bearcats suffered losses to Vassar (15-25, 19-25, 15-25) and Eastern Mennonite University (19-25, 22-25, 17-25) to drop to 12-16.

In their opening match against No. 10 ranked Vassar, Nicholas Godino was tops with six kills and Stephen Roach 10 assists. The host Brewers as a team hit .379 with Matthew Knigge leading with 15 kills.

In the second match, they lost to Eastern Mennonite from the state of Virginia. Godino was the top attacker again with 16 kills, but EMU won with 43 total kills in the sweep. 

The Bearcats will next turn their attention to the CUNYAC Volleyball Finals on Friday, April 13. The Baruch Athletic Department will host the two semifinals and championship match at home in the friendly confines of the ARC Arena. The winner earns CUNYAC's berth to the NCAA Tournament.
