Men's Soccer Wins in Double Overtime, Defeat John Jay 2-1

Natari Mohammed scored the winning goal in the seventh minute of double overtime to lift the visiting Bearcats to a dramatic 2-1 CUNYAC win on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island.

The two teams played a scoreless 73 minutes, but the Bearcats struck first in the 74th with Cormac Foley finding the back of the net on a penalty kick.

The Bloodhounds quickly responded three minutes later with a tying goal by Andrew DeCanio on a cross.

The regulation ended tied and forced overtime to decide the conference contest.

The Bloodhounds out-shot the Bearcats 4-2 in overtime, but it only takes one winning shot to end the match. Mohammed pounced on a loose ball and kicked in the winning shot past the out-stretched goalkeeper to send the Baruch bench into celebration.

Overall, the Bloodhounds won the shots category (13 to 10), but solid goalkeeping by Kellen Sela (seven saves) was pivotal int the eventual win.

Foley finished the match with three total shots.
