Men's Volleyball Defeats Alvernia, Mount Union in Tri-Match

The men's volleyball team won for the sixth time in the past seven games by sweeping two matches on Saturday afternoon in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The Bearcats started the day by dropping the first set to Alvernia (22-25), but rallied back quickly to win the next three 25-20, 25-15, 25-23 for the 11am win.

The visiting Bearcats hit for a torrid.522 in the third set and finished the match with 53 total kills.

Kyriakos Semertzidis came up big in the win with 28 digs.

In the second 1:00 pm match against Mount Union from Ohio, the Bearcats won in three, but neither set was won easily taking into account the scores of 25-22, 25-23, 30-28.

Seven different players notched a kill in the win and Edward Grinberg dished out 30 assists.
